Not much prep needed. If possible, back up via iCloud or your computer, and keep your passcode handy — some services like data transfer need device access. Did your iPhone get wet? Turn it off right away, don't charge it, remove the case, and don't dry it in the sun or by a heat source — come in as soon as you can. Book an online appointment, or mail in your device if you can't come by; read the shipping terms there.
